Basically as you will see in any professional salon, sectioning your hair is the key to achieving long lasting beautiful results. Whilst your irons are heating up, lightly spray a heat protector and comb through. We recommend using TIGI Flat Iron Spray. Now starting at the bottom of your hair, take a small section of hair, and clip the rest out of the way. Using a comb to hold the hair, run your irons along your hair from root to tip. This will ensure a smooth static free shine. Remember to try and apply even pressure and speed when straightening your hair as this will prevent heat spots Take the next section of hair and repeat the above step, remembering of course to keep your sections of hair small. This will ensure optimum results from using your straighteners, as your finished look will not only look better but will last longer! Don’t forget you can use your irons to create curls, waves and flicks should you so desire. In order to do this, the hair needs to be sectioned into small manageable sections just like when straightening hair. If you want to flick your hair out, simply run your straighteners along the sectioned piece of hair, simply flicking them upwards and outwards as you reach the end of the hair shaft. If you want to achieve curls or twists using your irons there are several ways to do this. You will see some stylists wrap the hair around the irons like they would when using curling irons. This is an effective method of making curls. Other stylists prefer to quickly run the straighteners down the length of the hair, like you would do when curling paper.
